5 Months and Counting

Our babies have passed 5 months old!!! I can't believe it! I was holding strong that we would wait and start them on rice cereal after our Montana trip but my kids changed my mind. They have made me believe that they are ready to try it. Last night Aric and I decided it was the night to start. It was hilarious!!! They both would open their mouths excited to try it and then have the most disgusted looks. They did eat a little bit but I don't think they like it very much!

We have also been waiting for Hayden to roll over. Will still has no interest in rolling over. He would prefer to reach out and grab things he needs and stay on his back. Hayden, on the other hand, thinks she needs to be on the go. Once she starts crawling and walking we are in trouble! Today I was off for Presidents' Day and I was enjoying a great day with the kids. Well, I put the kids down for a nap....on their backs of course. When I went to get them, Hayden was on her tummy! The stinker didn't even roll over the first time with anyone around. We are still very excited though!

We are enjoying every second of our lives with Will and Hayden! We are very excited to see you all in Montana in less than 2 weeks!!!! Yay! Will holding his teething ring with Daddy!
Cousin Jack shaking hands with Hayden. They were all very excited to play!

Hayden the Stinker.....

Hayden is quite the little stinker! She has begun to steal Will's toys! She did it the first time when Aunt Ann was watching her. Then, when we got home from Gering she did it again. We had them laying on the floor playing with new toys. Hayden would look at her pink elephant, look at Will's turquoise elephant, throw/drop her toy off to the side and take his. She did this a number of times. This is the best video I got. She also loves the camera so she just stares at it if she knows it is there. We sure are enjoying our little ones!

Play time

Will has learned he has a voice! His sister learned awhile ago that she can scream and she taught him. It is hilarious! They screech and then smile and giggle. Here is a video of them playing and talking in their exersaucers!

Our Lives....

Our life is pretty busy these days! Aric is still coaching wrestling so his weekends are pretty busy. He only has 2 more weeks and then he is done for the season. It has been a good season! Hopefully he takes a crew to state with him next week! Our home life is super busy too! The babies are so fun! When we get home from work we all lay on the floor and play. Then they spend some time in their exersaucers. They sure love to play with all the toys around the edges.

They will be 5 months old in a few days. I can't believe how fast time has flown by. It has been amazing! Aric and I tell each other daily how lucky we are and how great it is that we had two babies! I would not want it any other way! We would always be fighting over who go to hold the baby....now it is which one do you want??? We love being parents and love our kids and each other so very much! We are so lucky!

We are very excited to head up to Montana in a few weeks! The kids will be taking their first airplane ride. Hopefully it goes ok with two infants. Please pray for us! :) Hope to see many of you soon! Hanging out with Mommy....and holding hands!

Big Brother ~ Little Sister

Here are some more favorites! As many of you know....Will is 2 minutes older than Hayden. Somehow we found a "Big Brother" shirt that was for a 3 month old. What an opportunity to remind everyone that we have a Big Brother and Little Sister! Mama with her little monkeys!
Big Brother & Little Sister.....she looks a little shocked and Will obviously knows he is the older sibling! :)

4 Months Old!

We had our 4 month checkup today! I can't believe our babies are already 4 months old! Will weighed in at 13 lb 14 oz and was 24 1/4 inches long. Hayden weighed 11 lb 11 oz and was 23 3/4 inches long. They are both doing great! They have each been a little sick but we are getting through it each day. Missing a couple hours of sleep is easily forgiven when they give us their big smiles the next morning.

Will & Hayden have really shown their personalities and are quite opposite! Will is very laid back, smiles and talks to us all the time, loves to cuddle and loves to watch football (he actually turns his whole body to see the TV when it is on). Hayden is our little drama queen! She loves to put her lip out and squeal then look to see if we are paying attention. She is very alert and loves to be the center of attention. Hayden has also decided she is going to be a thumb sucker. Mommy, Daddy & Susan are trying hard to kick her habit. She thinks it is a game so we will see how this goes. Hayden is also very in love with Will. She looks at him with such adoration while smiling and talking to him. He looks at her then looks away as if his 'little' sister is annoying him. It is very cute! Last night Cousin Jack & Aunt Ann came to visit. Jack took to Will right away....they even had mini conversations. It was great! But Jack didn't give as much attention to Hayden and she did not like it. She decided to throw the biggest hissy fit yet. Although our ears hurt from her screeches, it was pretty cute.

Will & Hayden are great babies! They go to daycare during the week (Susan is AMAZING) and they are very happy babies there! We play on their play mats most nights. They just started to fit in their exersaucers so this will be a new adventure. They also just discovered their fun crib entertainment centers. Will & Hayden also sleep during the night. We usually have baths around 8:30 then they eat, read a book and off to bed by 9:30 or so. We are very lucky that they sleep about 6 hours before they are hungry again. We have been spoiled that we have not had to get up much.....until Will got sick. We can't say enough how lucky we are to have such amazing children...as well as each other!

Her are some of our newest pictures of our 'Peanut' (Hayden) and 'Moose' (Will). We hope you enjoy! We are so blessed! Hayden with her pink 'ice cream cone' headband!
